In this article, we’ll do our best to explain the basics of cloud computing. What is cloud computing how it works?
Cloud computing has been widely adopted by the IT industry during the past decade. The popularity of cloud computing is increasing rapidly. According to Cisco, 96% of workloads and compute instances would be processed by cloud data centers by 2021, while traditional data centers process only 4%.
What is Cloud Computing?
We simply want you to describe (what is computing?) and (what is the Cloud ?) before moving on to what is cloud computing. When you are familiar with these terms, you will easily understand about cloud computing.
what is Cloud?
The cloud is essentially a network of servers that deliver these resources to users. This network gives users the ability to access and use these resources remotely, freeing them from the obligation of investing in and maintaining their own physical infrastructure.
What is Computing?
So, computing is the use of computers or computer technology to do things like handle data, store data, analyze data, communicate, and more. Desktop computers, laptops, smartphones, tablets, servers, and other digital devices can all be used for computing.
Now we will talk about Understanding the Basics of cloud computing.
Understanding the Basics of cloud computing
We already talk about Cloud. A network of servers that deliver the resources to users. It relates to the storage space where users can store their data instead of buying their own computers or any kind of storage.
Let’s take an example.
Cloud computing is just like renting a computer or storage space from someone else. Instead of buying and maintaining your own computer or storage, you can pay to use someone else’s computer or storage over the Internet to store your data. Cloud Computing allows users to access files and kind of programs from anywhere, without having to carry around a physical laptop or storage device.
Cloud computing can take several forms, including public, private, or hybrid configurations that combine the public and private. The public cloud is like a big store where anyone can go to get services. A private cloud is like a store that only you or your company can use. A Hybrid cloud is a combination of both private and public clouds.
